I always knew I was a little bit odd,
Instead of a princess I wanted to be Indiana Jones
My childhood best friends called their Moms "Mum"
or spoke three languages
I grew up eating things the average American can't pronounce
and celebrating holidays from every major religion.
I always knew I was different,
the thing is the people I choose to surround myself with are also different
Meeting new people, different people, average people
only reinforced my oddness
but recently,
instead of feeling awkward or weird about the ways I am strange
all the things that troubled me in middle school
they make me stronger, better
exeptional not awkward
I am learning to embrace my little bit odd
to just be me
*(Love you guys!)

Oracion de Oscar Romero
It helps, now and then, to step back and take a long view.
The kingdom is not only beyond our efforts, it is even beyond our vision.
We accomplish in our lifetime only a tiny fraction of the magnificent enterprise that is God’s work.
Nothing we do is complete, which is a way of saying that the Kingdom always lies beyond us.
No statement says all that could be said.
No prayer fully expresses our faith.
No confession brings perfection.
No pastoral visit brings wholeness.
No program accomplishes the Church’s mission.
No set of goals and objectives includes everything.
This is what we are about.
We plant the seeds that one day will grow.
We water seeds already planted, knowing that they hold future promise.
We lay foundations that will need further development.
We provide yeast that produces far beyond our capabilities.
We cannot do everything, and there is a sense of liberation in realizing that.
This enables us to do something, and to do it very well.
It may be incomplete, but it is a beginning, a step along the way, an opportunity for the Lord’s grace to enter and do the rest.
We may never see the end results, but that is the difference between the master builder and the worker.
We are workers, not master builders; ministers, not messiahs.
We are prophets of a future not our own.
Oscar A. Romero, Archbishop of San Salvador, in El Salvador, was assassinated on March 24, 1980, while celebrating Mass in a small chapel in a cancer hospital where he lived. He had always been close to his people, preached a prophetic gospel, denouncing the injustice in his country and supporting the development of popular and mass organizations. He became the voice of the Salvadoran people when all other channels of expression had been crushed by the repression.

قصيدة
Let go of your worries
and be completely clear-hearted,
like the face of a mirror
that contains no images.
If you want a clear mirror,
behold yourself
and see the shameless truth,
which the mirror reflects.
If metal can be polished
to a mirror-like finish,
what polishing might the mirror
of the heart require?
Between the mirror and the heart
is this single difference:
the heart conceals secrets,
while the mirror does not.
- Rumi (my favorite poem)

wanna get married, and run away?
I almost can feel your lips on mine,
I miss you,
but only a little,
I want to find someone new,
then I won't miss you
anymore

your hand in mine
big hands
meant to be hands
little hands
still just as in love as the day they meet hands
old hands
decades together hands
young hands
just begining to be in love hands
dad and daughter hands
we'll get through this hands
smiling hands
can't keep their hands off each other hands
it's only been a few weeks hands
giggling hands
crying hands
somewhere out there is my pair of hands,
my forever hands

one of those days you just think too much
a moment when you realize things are different now,
I grew up,we grew up
would it change so much? would we be ok? what about love? does it really matter all that much?
if the moment was right?
